NDIS cleaning FAQs

NDIS house cleaning, common questions

Plain-English answers about NDIS house cleaning: whether it is covered, what is included, and how to check a provider. General information only, always confirm your own plan with your support coordinator or plan manager.

Does the NDIS pay for house cleaning?

In many cases, yes. House cleaning generally sits under Household Tasks, part of Assistance with Daily Living. It can be funded where it relates to a person's disability and their plan includes that support. Whether it is in a particular plan is best confirmed with the participant's support coordinator or plan manager.

What household tasks does the NDIS cover?

Household Tasks can cover general house cleaning such as kitchens, bathrooms, floors and laundry, plus tidying, where these relate to a person's disability and are funded in their plan. One Call provides general household cleaning under this category across Greater Sydney.

Can I use One Call if I am agency-managed?

Yes. Because One Call is an NDIS-registered provider (4-KMM12U1), agency-managed participants can use us, as well as plan-managed and self-managed. Unregistered providers cannot take agency-managed participants, so registration genuinely widens who we can help.

How do I get cleaning added to my NDIS plan?

Cleaning is usually funded under Household Tasks within Core supports. If it is not already in a plan, a support coordinator or plan manager can advise, and it can be raised at a plan review. This is general information, not plan or financial advice.

Is One Call a registered NDIS provider, and how do I check?

Yes. One Call is registered with the NDIS Commission, registration number 4-KMM12U1, for Home Modification and Household Tasks. You can verify any provider on the NDIS Commission provider register in about 30 seconds.

What areas do you cover?

One Call covers homes and businesses across Greater Sydney. Tell us your suburb when you enquire and we will confirm and arrange a time that suits.

Do you offer one-off or regular cleaning?

Both. We can arrange a single clean or regular visits, weekly, fortnightly or another schedule, around what suits you.

Does the NDIS cover gardening or home maintenance?

Gardening and some home maintenance can be funded in some plans, but they are separate from cleaning and have their own rules. Whether they are in a particular plan is best confirmed with a support coordinator or plan manager.
