For homeowners and renters

Home repairs across Greater Sydney

Small building jobs and repairs around the house, carried out by a licensed NSW contractor and quoted before anything starts, with one point of contact from the first call to the job being finished.

The jobs we get called for most

Most calls we get are not renovations. They are the ordinary list a house generates over time: a door that has started sticking or no longer latches, a fence panel down after a storm, a deck board that has gone soft, skirting or architraves that need replacing after a leak, a gate that will not close, a wall that needs patching and repainting after a bump or a removed fixture, tiles that have come loose, or a general tidy-up of the small jobs that have been sitting on a list for months because none of them alone was worth a call-out.

That is the intent this page is built for: ordinary repair and small building work at your own home, not a full renovation and not a trade booking for a strata building or a rental portfolio. If you are managing a building on behalf of others rather than fixing your own place, our strata and property manager maintenance page covers that instead.

None of that is glamorous work, and we are not going to pretend it is. It is the kind of job a marketplace listing makes hard to trust, because you cannot tell in advance who is actually going to show up or what they will charge once they are standing in your kitchen. Naming the actual jobs plainly, rather than a vague "handyman services" line, is the point of this page.

A licensed contractor, not a handyman listing

Building work is carried out by licensed contractor Aeiden Yalda, NSW licence 465620C. That is not a company-wide claim: the licence sits with him personally, and the building work on your job is carried out under that individual licence. A company licence application has been lodged separately and has not yet returned, so we are only stating what currently holds.

You do not have to take our word for that. The licence is on the public NSW register at verify.licence.nsw.gov.au, so you can check it yourself before you book anything, the same way you would check any tradesperson you were considering. We think that is a more useful thing to offer than a marketplace review score, because a review score tells you what other people thought and a licence check tells you what is actually true.

A quote before anything starts

We look at the job, or work from photos and a clear description if a site visit is not practical for something small, and give you a quote before anything is booked. Nothing starts on the strength of a phone estimate, and nothing gets added to the job once it is underway without you agreeing to it first.

We are not going to publish a price list or a rate card on this page. Every job we get called for is a little different, a sticking door in one house is not the same job as a sticking door in another, and a published number that does not match your actual job is worse than no number at all. The honest version of pricing here is a specific quote for your specific job, not a figure pulled from a table.

Who turns up

The team is five employees and two subcontractors, seven people in total, working under the one phone number, so the person who turns up is part of a small, known group rather than whoever last accepted a job on a marketplace app. Every one of them, employee or subcontractor, holds an NDIS Worker Screening Check, a police check, and NDIS worker orientation training, completed before they are sent to a job.

That standard was built for working around vulnerable people in disability support settings, and we are not going to overstate what it means for a residential repair. It is not a builder's qualification and it does not replace the licence described above. What it does mean, plainly, is that if you are home alone while the work is being done, the person on site has already had a police check completed as part of coming onto the team. For a job in your own house, we think that is worth knowing and worth checking, and we will confirm it if you ask.

Where we work

We are based in Austral NSW 2179 and take on repair and small building jobs across Greater Sydney. We are not going to list every suburb we cover here: if you are not sure whether your address is within reach, the fastest way to find out is to call and ask, rather than us guessing at a list that may not be accurate for your street.

When we are not the right call

Two situations where we are honestly not the right call, and it is worth saying so plainly rather than taking the job anyway.

The first is anything urgent or after hours: a burst pipe at 11pm, a lock-out, storm damage that needs attention that night. We do not run an emergency or after-hours service, and a contractor who tells you otherwise without the infrastructure to back it up is not doing you a favour. If your problem cannot wait for a quote and a scheduled visit, call an emergency service instead.

The second is any job that specifically needs a licensed plumber or a licensed electrician. One Call is not a licensed plumbing or electrical business, and we do not employ licensed plumbers or electricians on staff. Where a repair genuinely needs one of those trades, we arrange and coordinate it as part of the job rather than carry it out ourselves, and we will tell you plainly when that is the case rather than sending someone unqualified to have a go.

Telling you this up front is a better use of your time than letting you find out on the day. It is also, we think, a more honest starting point than a listing that claims to cover everything and leaves you to find out on site what it actually cannot do.

How to get a quote

The process is the same one we run on every job at property maintenance generally, applied to a single home rather than a portfolio:

  1. Tell us the job, by phone, or photos and a description if that is easier
  2. Quote, before anything is booked
  3. Work carried out by the licensed contractor or the team behind him
  4. One point of contact from the first call through to the job being finished
